Born in Maryland in 1986 but raised in Paterson NJ, Harold finds his inspiration in service, and his reason for creating music is to help others through their life experiences by sharing his own. By letting others know he can relate to their situations, Harold hopes that they feel less alone in feeling or thinking the way they do. He offers his help by giving spiritual meaning behind situations, though not all of his songs are spiritual but all are teachable and helpful to the listener. Harold Andrews, a talented musician, songwriter, producer, and composer, hails from Paterson, New Jersey. With a passion for music from an early age, Harold began creating his own original music in 2005. His positive Hip Hop sound has been featured in plays, and his songs can be heard on mainstream radio stations. Shortly after his birth, he and his family relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, where he spent the majority of his childhood. Dr. Yce's musical journey began at the tender age of four when he wrote his first song about his brand-new drum set. As he grew older, he became increasingly more invested in music, honing his skills as a vocalist by singing in church and learning to play the trumpet in honor band. This eventually led him to take up a considerable number of courses in piano and classical voice all while majoring in Business Finance in college. While in college, Dr. Yce's guitar playing style was influenced by renowned artists such as B.B. King, John Mayer, Marty Schwartz, and Kerry 2 Smooth Marshall. Today, his music is a fusion of various genres, reminiscent of legendary artists like Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and Frank Sinatra, to name a few. His music has been featured on iHeart radio, in independent films and television projects, and has received widespread acclaim from fans and fellow artists alike. |
