Artist Biography: King Rob “Never stop moving. Don't get stagnant. Keep believing in yourself. All of that in one” The Texas Hip-Hop scene has developed a strong reputation throughout the years for being a very culturally diverse market and is home to pioneers such as: UGK, Devin Tha Dude, DJ Screw, Scarface, and The Geto Boyz. It is also home to one of the most elite independent artists that is known as King Rob. King Rob first displayed his talent to the public at the age of nine by entering a talent show. From there he honed his skills by being very active in rap cyphers that would take place at his High School. His insatiable hunger to be the best led him to practicing his talent at every given opportunity. At the age of 21, the rising lyricist signed his first contract with Pigg Penn Produkshunz and was ready to embark upon a music as a profession. He developed a strong following by being very proactive when it came to promoting his music and networking with other artists. King Rob is heavily regarded for releasing big records such as: "Think About It", "Give Life Back To Music" feat. Daft Punk, and "Necessity". Though he isn’t an artist that is big on punch lines, his wordplay and delivery is unmatchable. After putting a decade worth of work with Pigg Penn Produckshunz, King Rob collaborated with a former business partner to open Recording Kingz Studio. One characteristic that makes him a viable asset is his outstanding business mind. “Within the next two years I plan to develop my companies: S&R Solutions(vending machines), On The Rocx(bartending and catering), Renaisance Muzik, Huery Homes(real estate), and put out the artists down here that I love and respect who perform with me and need a break,” he said. King Rob is musically influenced by the likes of legendary artists such as: Tupac, Geto Boyz, S.U.C, UGK, Nas, K-Rino, ZRo, Dead Prez, Eightball & MJG, Rakim, The Lox, Sam Cooke, Curtis Mayfield, and Sade. The registered ASCAP member is not only a professional at recording but also at performing live. He is proactively solidifying his buzz through constant promotion both on and offline.
